Alessandra Corine Ambrosio born April 11, 1981 is a Brazilian model.Her last name is spelled Ambrosio, but the diacritic mark is omitted in her modeling work. Ambrosio, described by Tyra Banks as The future of the modeling world, is best known for her work with Victoria's Secret and was chosen as their first spokesmodel for Victoria's Secret PINK line.Ambrosio is currently one of Victoria's Secret Angels and the former face for the UK company Next. Aside from modeling work, Ambrosio represents as the National Ambassador for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Ambrosio was also selected by AskMen.com as Number 2 out of the Top 99 Most Desirable Women of 2008.

The Brazilian beauty donned a black alligator dress and showed up at Dream Downtown where she mingled with fellow Angels and posed for the paparazzi. Earlier, Alessandra was onstage at the 2011 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, walking the runway while wearing a 30-pound pair of Passion Play Fan Wings covered in 105,000 Swarovski crystals. Apparently Alessandra’s daughter Anja was a big fan of the wings during rehearsals. “She was just playing model, she was being an Angel . . .She didn't see the costumes, she only saw the wings. She saw the wings, and she was like, "Mama! I have all these wings too at home! I have a butterfly, I have angel wings!’”     |

The barely clad beauty looked angelic as she made her way down the runway, despite the daunting task of wearing a 30-pound pair of gold wings encrusted with more than 100,000 sparkling Swarovski crystals. Having a little trouble during her initial fitting of the elaborate accessory, she told ABC News, "I almost fell back, that's how heavy it was. You really have to put a lot of strength toward your shoulders to be able to hold that. But it's incredible. You can't say no to an outfit like that. Those wings are unbelievable." Working hard to make her televised stroll go as smooth as possible, Ambrosio begin lifting weights and targeting her arms and back weeks ago, all in hopes to gain strength to carry what have been called the "most spectacular" wings to ever grace the show.     |
