Alessandra Corine Ambrosio born April 11, 1981 is a Brazilian model.Her last name is spelled Ambrosio, but the diacritic mark is omitted in her modeling work. Ambrosio, described by Tyra Banks as The future of the modeling world, is best known for her work with Victoria's Secret and was chosen as their first spokesmodel for Victoria's Secret PINK line.Ambrosio is currently one of Victoria's Secret Angels and the former face for the UK company Next. Aside from modeling work, Ambrosio represents as the National Ambassador for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Ambrosio was also selected by AskMen.com as Number 2 out of the Top 99 Most Desirable Women of 2008.

Getting dropped off by her personal car service, Alessandra Ambrosio was spotted stepping out of an SUV at the Los Angeles International Airport on Tuesday night (February 7). The prego Victoria’s Secret bombshell was fresh-faced as she made her way through the cluster of paparazzi and inside to check into her New York City bound flight ahead of Fashion Week. Prior to the trip to the Big Apple, Ambrosio, fiance Jamie Mazur and their 3 ½ year-old daughter Anja enjoyed a fun-filled family adventure over the weekend. A coroa da rainha ainda não foi escolhida (Alessandra ainda não se decidiu entre os diferentes modelos oferecidos pela designer de joias Bibiana Paranhos), mas o vestido que ela usará na ocasião, sim. Por isso, há um trabalho com motivos art déco, feitos em um bordado que leva vidrilhos, cristais e paetês”, contou ele. É preciso dizer, Alessandra estará no fim do quinto mês de gravidez na data. “O segredo para vestir uma grávida é o corte no viés e o peso certo. Com isso, não será necessário usar barbatanas ou qualquer tipo de estrutura do lado de dentro da peça”, explicou o expert.  Seguindo o princípio hollywoodiano de que não basta ser famoso, é preciso ter uma causa para defender, a modelo Alessandra Ambrósio acaba de se tornar madrinha da Associação Brasileira de Esclerose Múltipla (Abem), com sede em Moema. A iniciativa deve-se ao fato de que o pai dela foi diagnosticado com a doença há quase vinte anos. “Desde 2007, apoio uma instituição semelhante nos Estados Unidos. Estava na hora de fazer algo no meu país também”, conta. Grávida de cinco meses, Alessandra quer aproveitar a desacelerada do ritmo de trabalho para criar a camiseta da organização, que receberá o lucro das vendas. “As necessidades mais urgentes da Abem são conseguir uma sede própria e aumentar o número de atendimentos mensais, que hoje somam 1 500”, diz a moça. “Vou ajudá- la a atingir esses objetivos.” |
